There are many programs and organizations that are committed to helping and serving these children but right now there is no symbol, brand, voice or logo for anyone to identify with. This has never been done in the History of adoption. I know we can’t fix the bigger problem which is the “foster care system” but at least we can make the experience for the child more bearable and that’s where Paula Wowee™ comes in. A child never forgets the day they are put into the “system” Imagine a 12 inch Plush Paula Wowee doll given to a child to cuddle and comfort the first night they are whisked away in the system. Our new mission is to raise funds to make this happen. Please show your support by adding us on Facebook under Paula Wowee Foundation. You can also show your support by checking the online store: www.zazzle.com/paulawoweestore
We aspire to bring awareness and funding to support Adoption Agencies, public/private.
We want to present Paula Wowee™ as the new face & voice for kids in foster care to identify with She is an adopted bunny who was adopted by the Wowee’s. Her image and story can be told as a speaking point for children in foster care and a way for future Adoptive parents to begin their journey hrough the story of Paula Wowee. She will represent Adoption.
I want to propose at least 2 programs Adoption Organizations as a pilot program and introduce on a statewide bases if successful.
1. One program I want to implement is something fairly inexpensive to do and can help comfort a child in foster care Immediately. My thinking is get plush Paula Wowee™ toys made about qty 3-5K 12inches high and 9 colors. I've been told that the scariest moment for a child is the first night they are put in the "foster care system" for what ever reason... Wouldn't it be a comfort if that night the child is given a 12 inch Paula Wowee™ Plush in the child's choice of 9 colors to cuddle. I know we can't fix the foster care system but
a small gesture like this can make it more bearable. The toy can ease pain and discomfort. Its a simple need that Paula Wowee™ can fulfill. And a child will always remember that.
2. Another program we can implement is getting the Paula Adoption Stories Published in traditional books and or ebooks. We can make changes to the stories I've allready written to reflect the traumatic experience of going into the system.
W are currently looking to partner with Adoption Agencies in South Florida. We hope to help place children in permanent homes and raise funds to maintain and build more Foundation Atlanta and future partners. Who better to represent adopted/foster children than a bunny who knows; Paula Wowee™.
More programs will be added soon if we are sucessful.
